In his debut novel, we follow humanity as they flee a dying Earth, told from the eyes of Renata Garver Soto: a teenager born on the generational starship Requiem de la Lune.

 

 The ship is in dire need of repairs, and an alien race known to most aboard Requiem as "the Pod" have offered to help.  But they've been helping for ten years now... and Renata suspects they are up to something besides fixing the ship.  Can she uncover the truth and help get the surviving humans to their destination?  Or will the Pod keep humanity on Requiem forever, never passing through this Great Filter event for our species?
